As adults, we sometimes get so wrapped up in our day to day lives we forget to take time out for the ones we love. This Mother’s Day, if you have the opportunity to spend time with your mom, do it.
1. Breakfast In Bed
Surprise mom with breakfast in bed.
2. Wine Tasting
Spend the day at a winery, tasting different wines.
3. A Mystery Train Ride
Enjoy a murder mystery dinner with mom.
4. Take a Class Together
With so many different classes being offered, sign up for a class or two and learn something new with your mom.
5. Tickets
Does your mom enjoy a nice play, the theater or even a musical? Why not surprise her with tickets to a night of entertainment. Broadway has some really great shows if your looking for a weekend getaway with your mom.
6. Adult Tea Party
Is your mom a tea drinker? If so, grab your siblings or some of your gal pals and their moms and have a Mother’s Day tea party.
7. Gardening
If your mom enjoys gardening, spend the day channeling your inner green thumb with her.
8. Shopping
Before dinner or after brunch, take time out for a little one on one shopping time with your mom.
9. Helping
Help your mom with anything around the house that she needs help with. If she has a Facebook page or any other social media site, show her how it works. Help keep your mom up to date with today’s technology.
10. Talking
Last but not least, spend some time just talking and catching up with your mom. If your mom lives out of state, call, Skype or face-time her and just talk.
How do you plan to spend this Mother’s Day?
“Not always eye to eye. But always heart to heart”

My favorite way with my mom when l see her is just sitting with her. The company counts. She is quite old now and has a lot of ailments, so voices is what she recognizes and l think it comforts her. These are all great ways admittedly, and have done a few of these with her in the past.

We took a painting class together for moms last birthday. usually we just spend the day together on mothers day with my kids which gives me the opportunity to celebrate my mom while giving my kids the opportunity to celebrate me! Thanks for sharing.

Great list. My mom is definitely a fan of helping her around the house when we can’t think of an exciting activity. I’m taking her to a screening of Mother’s Day the movie tomorrow and we will hang out the with family at the park on Mother’s day.

Great timely post! Mother’s Day is rapidly approaching and I haven’t figured out what to get my mother. I am trying to be financially fit when it comes to gift giving and I think you have listed some great ideas that I can include~
Kalilah

#3 seems so interesting. My mom doesn’t live near me so I can’t spend Mother’s Day with her, unfortunately.

These are great ideas. My mom and I already spend a ton of time together, so I’m always looking for something different to do for Mother’s Day. Wine tasting would be so fun.

Great List! Getting older and being a mother, it’s hard to come up with ideas for my mom. But these are definitively ideas that we would love.

Mother’s Day is BIG for me and I like to make a big deal of it every year. This year I am hosting my Annual Mother’s Day Tea. I invite the mom’s and daughters in my family over for a nice brunch.
Miss Jamila
Mimi GreenThat sounds nice, I love a good brunch.

I’m not sure what we are doing for Mother’s Day this year. I will probably surprise my mom with breakfast “made” by the kids. We will see but we tend to keep it light and enjoy the day at church.
Frugal Flirty N Fab
These are all really great and thoughtful ways to spend Mothers Day! Now I just have to figure out which option I’m going with! Thanks for sharing!

I love all of those ideas. My mom lives out of the country so I won’t get to spend Mother’s Day with her, but we will definitely be Skyping 🙂

My mother passed a few years ago and how I long to just sit and talk with her. These are awesome suggestions, maybe I’ll ask my kids which one they want to do with me and that will be one of our activities for the day!
Miss Jamila
MimiI’m sorry to hear that, I hope you enjoy the day with your kids.
