Born and raised in Bronx, New York, Tomiko Fraser was the first African American to represent Maybelline New York for 8 years.
Fraser has also been featured on countless billboards, magazine ads & commercials on behalf of the cosmetics brand.
She’s appeared in print and television campaigns for brands like Tommy Hilfiger, Alfani, The Gap, Old Navy, Lee Jeans & Target. Fraser has graced the pages of magazines around the world, including German Vogue, Glamour, British Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Essence, and Elle.
She went on to make her acting debut in the feature film Head Over Heels, then she landed a role in Monster-In-Law. Her television appearances include guest-starring roles on Soul Food, CSI, and The Game among others.
As a model and actor, Fraser uses her platform to passionately champion women’s empowerment through Tomiko Fraser’s Goddess Gathering—a movement aimed at helping women discover, develop & demonstrate their most empowered selves – their inner Goddess by offering personal coaching sessions to those interested in personal development.

This isnt true. The first Aftican American model to represent Maybelline was Je’Taun Taylor back in the 1930-40’s before color pics were even considered. Coming from the source themselves.
