Misan Harriman is a Photographer, creative director, and cultural commentator. He is the first Black male photographer to shoot a British Vogue cover in its 104-year history.
Harriman captured the cover of British Vogue’s September 2020 issue. Themed around activism, it consists of a fold-out cover featuring 20 global activists (variously photographed by Harriman, Texas Isaiah, Philip-Daniel Ducasse, Reginald Cunningham, and Chrisean Rose).
British Vogue’s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, describes Harriman’s work as “an ode to the extraordinary voices, old and young, who in this difficult year have devoted their energies to fighting for a fairer society.”
