NYFW: STYLE FASHION WEEK 2017

I’ve always wanted to attend New York Fashion Week and when I received an invite for Malan Breton A/W 2017 Collection showcase, there was no way I could resist going. I booked my flight and was headed to NYFW.

The day of the show it had snowed, schools and some businesses were closed. Me being from Michigan I was surprised that the city shut down for that little amount of snow. But thank goodness the fashion show was not cancelled, especially since I flew all the way from Detroit to see this show.

The event was held at The Theater at Madison Square Garden with multiple runway shows headlined by Malan Breton. Also featured on the runway during Style Fashion Week were Honee, Shalini Arts, Patricia Michaels, Commatteo, David Topez, Mario De La Torre, Zoan Ash, Adrian Alicea, M The Movement, Ydamys Simo, Richard Hallmarq, Wangliling, Eddie By Billy Tommy and Rich by Richie Rich.

Special performances by Sky Ferreira, hip-hop artist Layzie Bone (Bone Thugs & Harmony), pop singer Jeff Timmons (98 Degrees) and Miri Ben-Ari (Violinist) amongst others.

Each designer put on an amazing show, showcasing their creative pieces that made up their collections. Below are a few photos from the event.
