Meet Moziah Bridges: 12-Year-Old Bow Tie Designer Moziah "Mo" Bridges loved dressing up at a young age, unlike his peers he wanted to wear suits and ties whenever he could. His style of inspiration came from his father and grandfather who would usually wear three-piece suits for no particular reason. To him, dressing up made him feel good. When he would go shopping for bow ties, all he ever found were plain and ugly clip-on. He didn’t want to wear a clip-on, “real men tie their own ties”[...]

Unpopular fashion opinion: Looking expensive has nothing to do with how much you spent.

Some of the best outfits I’ve ever worn weren’t the most expensive…they just fit well, felt good, and were styled with intention.

A designer label won’t fix bad styling, but confidence can elevate almost anything.

Agree or disagree?

What’s your unpopular fashion opinion?

Original price: $170

My price: $59.97

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but that’s not spending money… that’s being financially responsible.

Girl math or smart shopping? Be honest. 😂

What up doe? Fashion besties, can we talk about how hard it is to meet new people as an adult?

Between work, responsibilities, and everything else life throws our way, making new friends isn’t always easy. That’s why I love events like this. There’s something so refreshing about stepping outside your comfort zone, meeting new people, and making real life connections.

I came for the content, the donuts, and the good vibes…but I left with some great conversations and new connections.

Noowwwww…let’s talk about the food!! The donuts were good, and I especially loved the Strawberry Shortcake Layered Custard. But the real star of my evening? The Crispy Ramen Original Rice Hotdog lightly sprinkled with sugar. I’m officially hooked and already planning my next visit.

A big thank you to @DetroitFinds313 and @mochinut_berkely for hosting such a fun and welcoming event.

Now tell me, fashion besties, do you find it easy or hard to make new friends as an adult?

Anybody else love a three-piece set because it takes all the thinking out of getting dressed? Just add shoes and go. That’s my type of getting ready.

@Fabletics always has the cutest workout sets 💙💙💙

Someone told my 5’1 self I’m not petite because I’m not skinny.

Respectfully, petite means short, not skinny. If I’m not petite, then why has every pair of pants I’ve ever owned been too long unless I specifically buy short or petite sizes?

Petite girls, back me up in the comments

Petite is a height category, not a body type. My 5’1” self didn’t stop being petite just because I’m not a size 2.

Fashion besties, can we normalize getting overdressed?

I didn’t buy these clothes just to save them for a special occasion. Life is the occasion.

If I want to wear the cute dress, the statement coat, or the heels just to grab coffee, I’m doing it. The older I get, the more I realize style is meant to be enjoyed, not saved.

Tell me I’m not the only one. What’s the most “extra” place you’ve worn a cute outfit?

POV: I’ve always been too anxious to go sit in a restaurant by myself, but I decided to add it to my bucket list and finally do it.
So today, I took myself out on a solo date, ordered what I wanted, enjoyed my meal, and honestly? I wish I would’ve done this sooner.
The whole time I was thinking, “Why was I so scared of this?”
Be honest, fashion besties... have you ever taken yourself out to eat alone, or is it still on your bucket list? #fashionstyledetroit

The girls who get it, get it… leopard is a neutral!

Fashion besties, I’m so serious when I say leopard goes with EVERYTHING. At this point, I throw it on the same way other people throw on black or denim.

Like the outfit can be cute… then you add leopard and suddenly it makes sense. It’s like putting on the finishing touches.

A leopard shoe, bag, jacket, SOMETHING. It just works every time.

Please tell me I’m not the only one that treats leopard like a neutral?

May was a mix of getting dressed, figuring life out, creating content, romanticizing small moments, and reminding myself that growth doesn’t always look loud.

A little fashion, a little chaos, a lot of memories.
