I know this is going to be an unpopular opinion…

I wore my Apple Watch with every outfit for years. Then one day I realized not every outfit needs it.

Sometimes the best accessory is knowing when to leave one off.

#fashionstyledetroit

Do you wear your Apple Watch with everything, or do you switch it up depending on the outfit?

Adulting is exhausting. Nights like this are necessary.

A reminder that I’m allowed to enjoy my life, too.

Work can have me tomorrow. Tonight belongs to me.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is leave the house. #fashionstyledetroit

When I have no idea what to wear, I stick to a formula that never fails: a graphic tee, a maxi skirt, and statement shoes. Simple, effortless, and it always looks put together. #fashionstyledetroit #ootd #styletip

Unpopular fashion opinion: It’s better to be overdressed than underdressed.

I’d rather walk into a room feeling confident than spend the whole time wishing I’d put in a little more effort.

Getting dressed isn’t about impressing other people, it’s about how you feel when you show up.

Agree or disagree? Which would you rather be: overdressed or underdressed? 👇🏾

Unpopular fashion opinion: Not every fashion trend looks good on everybody.

I’ve learned that chasing every trend doesn’t build great style knowing what works for your body, lifestyle, and personal style does.

The best outfits aren’t always the trendiest. They’re the ones that make you feel confident.

Agree or disagree? What’s one fashion trend you just couldn’t get behind?

I told myself I wasn’t buying another pair of sunglasses.

Then I tried them on.

At what point does it become a collection and not a shopping problem?

Unpopular fashion opinion: Looking expensive has nothing to do with how much you spent.

Some of the best outfits I’ve ever worn weren’t the most expensive…they just fit well, felt good, and were styled with intention.

A designer label won’t fix bad styling, but confidence can elevate almost anything.

Agree or disagree?

What’s your unpopular fashion opinion?

Original price: $170

My price: $59.97

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but that’s not spending money… that’s being financially responsible.

Girl math or smart shopping? Be honest. 😂

What up doe? Fashion besties, can we talk about how hard it is to meet new people as an adult?

Between work, responsibilities, and everything else life throws our way, making new friends isn’t always easy. That’s why I love events like this. There’s something so refreshing about stepping outside your comfort zone, meeting new people, and making real life connections.

I came for the content, the donuts, and the good vibes…but I left with some great conversations and new connections.

Noowwwww…let’s talk about the food!! The donuts were good, and I especially loved the Strawberry Shortcake Layered Custard. But the real star of my evening? The Crispy Ramen Original Rice Hotdog lightly sprinkled with sugar. I’m officially hooked and already planning my next visit.

A big thank you to @DetroitFinds313 and @mochinut_berkely for hosting such a fun and welcoming event.

Now tell me, fashion besties, do you find it easy or hard to make new friends as an adult?
