These up-and-coming designers are looking to Rebuild, Restore and REFRESH with their t-shirt line. Their looking to restore the feeling people had when they didn’t have to buy expensive clothes to be considered “fresh”. I had a quick Q&A session with the designers and here’s what they had to say.
Tell me about Refresh? How did you come up with the name?
Refresh is the clothing company created by Michael Austin and Corey Naylon. The name came about after going over multiple names and this was the one that stood out the most.
What does Refresh mean?
Refresh is restoring the feeling of old times in the clothing industry, when you weren’t required to wear the most expensive outfit to be considered fresh.
What does Refresh stand for?
Refresh doesn’t have an acronym, but it’s a stand alone word that goes with our slogan, “Rebuild, Restore, REFRESH”.
How did you come up with this idea?
We were looking for ways to generate more revenue but in the process, we fell in love with the idea of having our own clothing line.
What have you learned since starting your brand (t-shirt line)?
To be patient and stay persistent. Knowing that everyone may not share your vision, but with a little blood, sweat, and tears anything is possible.
Who do you design for?
Everyone. This line was created to relive the feeling of classic times in fashion through our clothing.
What are your plans for the future? Where do you see your business in 5 years?
A mainstream clothing line that’s sold in a storefront alongside other popular brands.
