Last week I attended the 2016 Detroit Homecoming. It was a three-day event starting on September 14th until the 16th. The Homecoming showcases the city’s creative contributions to technology, music, art, entertainment, fashion, and architecture. Focusing on ideas for Detroit’s reinvention.
With everything that was going on during the Homecoming, I attended the Creativity Showcase which was held at the Orchestra Hall. The Creative Showcase was a “living tableau” of 10 vignettes featuring Detroit clothing designers, music, dance and architecture.

I haven’t been to Detroit in about 10 years. It was my favorite family reunion city to visit and I was obsessed with the city for a long time (including the Pistons and Ben Wallace, lol). I love that gold dress and wish I could wear it to an upcoming ball here in Dallas.

I didn’t know that cities had homecoming, I’ve only heard of schools doing this. Very interesting exhibits they showcased. Ive never been to Detroit, I need to put it on my list of places to visit in the USA.
