Meet Designer Adrien Sauvage
Adrien Sauvage is a British designer, director, and photographer of Ghanaian descent.
Adrien Sauvage was born on May 30, 1983, in Wandsworth, London. From the age of 13, he played professional basketball, representing Great Britain at an international level. Taking early retirement from basketball, at the age of 19, he began to establish himself as a stylist and lifestyle consultant. He had clients ranging from society and celebrity circles in the worlds of rock, fashion, film, sports, and politics. While working with his many clients, he moved from styling to designing when he realized that men’s sartorial needs were not being met. With no formal training, Adrien began to create a collection that reflected his personal philosophy “Dress Easy”.
In 2010, Adrien announced the creation of House A. Sauvage with the launch of his first collection ‘This Is Not A Suit’. The collection was described by the Evening Standard as “the future of British Menswear”. The brand focuses on the changing needs of its clients to create menswear with an emphasis on a perfect cut and casual elegance. House A. Sauvage now offers made to measure, womenswear, casual separates, and leather goods. In 2012, he opened a flagship store on Maddox Street as well as an online store. House A. Sauvage is now sold internationally at retailers and online.
