Meet Designer Duro Olowu
Duro Olowu was born in Lagos Nigeria, to a Nigerian father and a Jamaican mother, he was raised between both Nigeria and England. Olowu developed a love for fashion, he became inspired by the women around him, from the clothing they wore, which were a mixture of colors and textures. He gave up the chance to become a lawyer like his father and instead decided to pursue a career in fashion. Living in London provided him the opportunity to embrace the culture, art, and music around him.
In October 2004, Olowu launched his self-titled womenswear line Duro Olowu. The collection was inspired by a theme of “Love and Joy.” After debuting his collection during the 2005 British Fashion Week in London, Olowu was named New Designer of the Year, only one year after launching his label.
With his mixtures of African inspired colors, Olowu is able to create bold fashion statements. He’s even had the opportunity to dress Michelle Obama among other celebrities.

I love the blue jacket in the second.picture. The white lining gives it a really nice contrast.

I love this page. These dresses are beautiful. I love how Michelle Obama showed by casual and classy look for same dress. Inspires me to get some more mileage on dresses that have been sitting in closet waiting for an occasion to wear them.
