Meet Twin Designers Dexter and Byron Peart

“We’re trying to build something that actually needs to exist.”

Dexter and Byron were both born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. Working in Sales and Marketing for the Canadian Magazine Ocean Drive had exposed Dexter to the industry, while brother Byron studied economics in college. Right out of school he was appointed Diesel’s marketing director.

The WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie brand was founded five years ago by twin brothers Dexter and Byron Peart. WANT Les Essentiels de la Vie is a line of men’s accessories, created with the frequent traveler in mind. Each piece in their collection is named after airports.

After spending years on endless business trips abroad, they developed a clear understanding of the practical requirements of bags and accessories for professionals on the go, offering timeless pieces that place equal value on fashion and function.

Being motivated by the new realities of travel, the brothers know how important electronics are in this day and age, their collection provides safe and convenient storage for smartphones, tablets, or laptops along with all of life’s other essentials.

**Update**
In 2017, the Peart brothers sold their fashion brand WANT Les Essentiels. Wanting to create meaningful brands dedicated to offering sustainable solutions for modern living. They launched GOODEE, A curated marketplace that “brings together the values of good design, good people, and good purpose”.
