The Colossal Chaotic Lash – By Maybelline New York
After seeing the commercial for one of Maybelline’s newest mascaras “The Colossal Chaotic Lash”, I just had to have it. According to the commercial, this mascara is supposed to add volume to your lashes while giving you the perfect disorganized bold look.
The commercial gave the impression that this mascara would give my lashes a “chaotic” disorganized look like the model pictured below. But according to the photo, the model is wearing a simulation look of the product, with lash inserts to give a more dramatic look.
The first thing I noticed about this mascara was the brush. It has a slight bend on the tip to allow the lashes to be easily separated. This mascara is pretty much like some of the other mascaras on the market. I don’t see anything special about this particular mascara, but does a great job of adding length and volume. I did love the way my lashes look after my first time using it.
I did attempt a few times to create a “chaotic” look, but my version didn’t turn out so well. Per the directions, it says to sweep the teaser brush horizontally for instant bold charge, but I couldn’t achieve the messy look.
